Product Description

1.7225 Material 42CrMo4 +QT Steel Round Bars 

BS EN 42crmo4 Alloy Steel is a common chromium-molybdenum steel that usually used after quenched and tempered, with high intensity, high hardenability. BS EN 42CrMo4 round steel has better performance than 34CrMo4 steel due to the carbon and chromium content is higher. 42CrMo4 alloy steel has higher strength and hardenability. The 42CrMo4 alloy material also has high fatigue strength and good low-temperature impact toughness. The temper brittleness is not obvious.

42CrMo4 Steel Bar has good machinability. Operations such as turning, hobbing, drilling, sawing, broaching, tapping and milling can be easily performed using the recommendations provided by the machine's manufacturer for ideal tool type-feeds and speeds.

42CrMo4 reacts well in heat treatment and it is easy to process under heat treatment conditions. This material provides many desirable properties such as good strength and wear resistance, excellent toughness, good ductility and resistance to high-temperature stresses.
